These create folders to store files needed during development, but they don’t need to be deployed to the production environment. By excluding these dependency folders and any other folders you truly don’t need, you can significantly reduce the size of your site’s backup and save time during the development process.
Excluding Folders
You can specify particular folders or files to exclude by adding the following filter to the functions.php file.
