You can detach, unlink, or delete domains associated with your Shifter site from the Shifter dashboard.
Log in to the Shifter dashboard and check the domain status
1. Log in to the Shifter dashboard
2. Open the site for which you want to detach the domain
3. Go to “Live” → “Domains”
4. The current domain status will be displayed.
If the domain is attached, the status will show “Attached,” and the [Detach Domain] button will be visible.
Detaching a Domain from a Site
5. Click the “Detach Domain” button
6. In the text field, type detach and click “Detach”
7. A message will appear confirming that the domain has been successfully detached
Verify that the domain has been detached
8. In the domain overview, verify that it says [Attach Domain]
9. Go to “Overview”
10. Verify that “Domain Status: None” is displayed
[Optional] Deleting a Domain
1. Click the three-dot menu to the right of “Attach Domain”
2. Click “Remove domain”
3. Enter “delete” in the text field and click “Delete”
4. The domain has been deleted
