The WordPress site search feature is not available on Shifter. This feature requires PHP and does not work on sites that have been staticized by Shifter.
To use site search, you’ll need to install a third-party search plugin. The officially recommended plugin for Shifter is WP Serverless Search, which requires no external accounts or additional configuration.
Additionally, since WordPress’s native search does not support features such as typo correction or fuzzy search, replacing it with a third-party plugin can improve search accuracy.
