Installing the Classic Editor

  1. Launch WordPress and log in.
  2. Search for “Classic Editor” on the Plugins page.
  3. Click the [Install] and [Activate] buttons.

Setting the Classic Editor as the Default

  1. On the Plugins page, click [Settings] for the Classic Editor.
  2. Select the Classic Editor as the default editor for all users. To set the Classic Editor as the default, select [Classic Editor] under [Default Editor for All Users].Select [Yes] under [Allow users to switch editors]

That completes the steps to set the Classic Editor as the default editor.
