The Team feature allows you to share sites on Shifter among multiple accounts and collaborate as a team on site development and management.
You can assign permissions based on roles—such as developer or content editor—to members who join the team, enabling you to design flexible workflows.
Permissions by Role
- Owner: All operations on the Shifter account they own
- Administrator: Start/stop WordPress, run and publish staticization processes, invite sites and members to the team, configure custom domains (only for accounts with a registered credit card)
- Editor: Start/stop WordPress, run and publish staticization processes
- Contributor: Start and stop WordPress
Important Notes
- If a member with Administrator permissions wants to configure a custom domain, their account must have a valid credit card on file.
- Owner permissions are granted only to the site owner. If you wish to transfer these permissions to another account, please use the “Site Transfer” feature.
