Domain Records

• A Record: A type of domain record whose value is a static IP address.
• ALIAS Record: A type of domain name, such as example.com,
• but its value is treated like a CNAME record. CNAME Record: A type of domain name, such as www.example.com, whose value is masked and mapped to a different name, such as https://example.on.getshifter.io.

Shifter-Specific Terms

• Artifact: A static version of a WordPress site created by Shifter’s static site generator.
• Deploy: A collection of artifacts that are published or ready for publication.
• Dashboard: The Shifter dashboard, accessible at go.getshifter.io
