If our team needs direct access to your WordPress site for troubleshooting, testing, or collaboration, here’s how to securely grant and revoke temporary access.
Overview
Sharing site access with Shifter Support is based on the Teams feature, which is available on all plans except the Free and Free Trial plans. Please create a new team or use an existing one for this purpose. Add your site to that team and invite our support account hello@getshifter.io to the team with the highest member role.

Creating a New Team
Since a site can belong to multiple teams, some users choose to create a dedicated team for this purpose. For example, creating a team named “Shifter Support” helps you quickly identify the account with which you’ve shared access. If your site does not yet belong to any team, this may be the recommended option.
Using an Existing Team
It’s perfectly fine to use an existing team. If you need to collaborate with multiple members based on availability—such as location or preferred language—using an existing team can be helpful for our support team.

Sharing Access with the Support Team
To share access, add our support account as a member of the team that includes the site. Please invite our support account as a “Member,” which is the highest role. Use the following email address to invite them to the team:
hello@getshifter.io.

Revoking Access
Once the support request is complete, you can revoke the support team’s access to the site by either removing the support account from the team or removing the site from the team created for this purpose.
