Troubleshoot and investigate WordPress issues with the new Safe Mode feature on Shifter Headless

We’ve launched a new safe mode feature! Safe mode is now available for Shifter Headless, and this feature is for customers developing on our platform using Headless WordPress.

Safe mode is an emergency action that starts WordPress without activating any plugins or themes. It can help users investigate issues or solve errors when WordPress fails to boot up. WordPress can fail to start or boot up when there is an error in a theme or plugin. These are the most common causes and this tool helps troubleshoot and resolve that.

We’re always looking to make the Shifter experience easier for our users. The addition of Safe Mode is a direct result of customer feedback and we’re happy to be able to provide this useful tool to our users.

To access the safe mode feature, visit the Dev tab of your site in the Shifter Dashboard and click “Enable Safe Mode” under Emergency Actions. You’ll then be able to log into WordPress to begin troubleshooting and investigating. We hope this feature makes your Shifter experience easier, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
